Craig Sager says doctors gave him 3-6 month timeline to live

In an episode of HBO's "Real Sports" set to air Tuesday night, legendary sideline reporter Craig Sager not only reveals that his cancer is no longer in remission, but also details the unfortunate prognosis doctors gave him.

Sager, whose leukemia returned last Spring and who has already undergone two stem-cell transplants, was told that patients in his condition normally only have three-to-six months to live.

Still, the eccentric Sager's will and resolve remain.

Sager was initially diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in the spring of 2014.
